Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Chinese fortune in today’s lunch: “The greatest test of courage on earth is to bear defeat without losing heart.”

Hawkeyecast is taking a bye week too. Listen to our short and sweet bye week message and come back next Thursday and get the full podcast treatment as we dissect Michigan and get hungary for Wildcat. In the meantime, vote on the new poll and check out the article we found by clicking here.

We had the shirts printed up for ourselves. If you would like one, email us and we will give you the details. We are taking suggestions for print options on the back.

Subliminal Maize - Podcast #10

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

We take time to revel in the accomplishments of the hawkeyes thus far, but we’ve got bigger corn to fry. It’s Michigan week! We discuss the psychological wall we face and suggest some subliminal techniques to get us over the hurdle. Lon continues to get the exclusive audio clips heard only on Hawkeyecast! We’ve got a special interview you might wish you had missed and we examine the media bias from all angles. The off topic topic remindes us of a similar sceanario in the beloved homeland. All in all, time of possession is not the most important stat. So get it while it lasts - Hawkeyecast!

Catch 22 - Podcast #9

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

It’s the Good to be Home edition of Hawkeyecast! With a much needed road win under our belt, Lon and Ray discuss the psyche of players, opposing coaches and kids in need of skateboards. We take a look at how the wacky Big 10 is shaping up, or not, as it turns out; and discuss how to make it back up the rabbit hole. A 21 home game win streak is on the line as the ironmen go for 22. Strap it on and wipe that grin off your face. This is serious stuff.

Boiling Point - Podcast #8

Thursday, October 6th, 2005

Grab your marshmello skewer, pull up a log and join as at the virtual bonfire edition of Hawkeyecast! It’s that magical season in the heartland, fall. Ray and Lon savor the win against the Illini, look forward to a road win that will make you boil with anticipation, praise the superhero-like feats of a fantastic four, and condemn the knucklehead act on our sacred turf. It just doesn’t get any better than this (or, maybe we need to get out more). Be sure to leave your comments, suggestions, and vote on Ray’s idea for naming the field in Kinnick.
