Snow Angel - Podcast #13

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

Not rain, sleet, snow, illness or something important will keep us from putting out another podcast. We call on the bench again this week as Lon is out with laryngitis. Ray and Nan disect the big win over Wisconsin and really don’t spend a lot of time with condolences for Barry Alvarez. Minnesota is the last hurddle to escaping Detroit in late December, hopefully. And Nan shares some childhood memories of Kinnick, one of which is the 1991 game with Minnisota where Danan Hughes makes a snow angel in the endzone after a touchdown. The picture on the blog is from that game. Feel free to post your favorite memories of Hawkeye football games. We’ll take a brief hiatus for Thanksgiving and be back in full force the week after turkey day for post game gab and looking forward to the bowl game. It’s Hawkeyecast! Dig in.

Bend But Don’t Lose - Podcast #12

Thursday, November 10th, 2005

Ray is on the DL this week. It’s a good thing we are deep off the bench. Listen as our ringer Nan doesn’t miss a beat. We drudge through that Northwestern thing and look toward Camp Randall saying bye, bye Barry. The off topic, topic brings Ray out of the vault, and we shout out to more faithful listeners. Vote on the new positive poll. It’s just good to be a hawkeye no matter the record. Lets get this next one boys! It’s Hawkeyecast, the “bench warmer” edition.

Spayed - Podcast #11

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

We’re back in the saddle again. Fresh off our bye week we talk some mean rehash. We examine how to best control cats and conclude that Bob Barker is right. Many shout outs to our listeners for the love that was given during our hiatus. We also have a special treat and comforting talk about gameday around Kinnick. The portion is larger than usual, but it will stick to your ribs as the bitter winter approaches. Here we go, down the stretch. Go Hawks!
