Hawkeyecast

The easiest way of doing it is to download the free program iTunes from apple (Mac or Windows). Then, just click on the icon in our sidebar and iTunes will open with the Hawkeyecast page where you can download episodes of Hawkeyecast or subscribe to the automatic downoad. That is why Apple is better. It’s easier.

Another way of doing it is: go to juice and download the appropriate windows or Macintosh version of juice. The program is free and no spyware or stuff like that to worry about. Follow the instructions for installing the program and then open it.

It is pretty intuitive, especially if you have iTunes. When you open the program interface, find the “add feed” or “subscribe to podcast” option and then copy this address - http://feeds.rapidfeeds.com/56/Hawkeyecast-MP3/ - into the url space. You can also click on the icon and copy the address in your browser into your podcast downloading software. Be sure you enter an URL in the podcast aggregator that starts with “http”. If you use iTunes and an iPod, you can search for Hawkeyecast in iTunes and subscribe to an enhanced version of our podcast that has chapter markers, pictures and links.

Whenever you open Juice it will check for new podcasts. You can also schedule other times to check or you can open ipodder and hit the check for new podcasts button for updates.

To listen, all you have to do is start up iTunes. The podcasts will already be there in their own playlists. Windows Media Player or other media players may be more complicated. You can then copy the podcast to any mp3 player (ipod) and listen in.

If you want to explore more go to the podcast page in the music store in iTunes and click on the podcasts that interest you. Or, search for them in your favorite search engine and go to one of the many podcast directory sites like podcastpickel. Just add them the same way as you did Hawkeyecast.
